This Has Been Our Best Year Yet!

The last 12 months have been our best year so far! We have accomplished so much, and our momentum is the best it has ever been. Now is the perfect time to hop on and enjoy the ride towards Dallas becoming an amazing skateboarding & action sports city. Our mission is as big as it ever has been. We have gotten record traffic to our website and social media accounts. The action sports community is a force! The best is still to come thanks to you.

Oak Cliff Skatepark design has raised $150K

Thanks to Council Member Chad West and the Oak Cliff community, we have a design for the Oak Cliff skatepark. This design was paid for by the community. Shortly, we will put our funds to work to create a full engineering design, valued at about $95,000.

Our need is $400K to match the city funds to build an amazing park.

east dallas skatepark - our voices were heard

The opportunity came up to add a neighborhood skatespot to Glencoe Park. In the past this would have been brushed off by neighbors silently, but thanks to the passion of this community, our voices were heard and now there is support for an East Dallas skatepark within Dallas Parks & Recreation.

Our new park focus is Samuel Grand and St. Francis.

bachman lake skatepark ground breaking

History was made at the Bachman Lake skatepark ground breaking. Skatepark advocates got to celebrate the new park starting construction and see elected officials ride skateboards and sing the praises of skateparks in Dallas.

Next up is activating the park with skateboard lessons, contests and events.

The value of skatepark lobbying and bond election results

Thanks to the active advocacy of action sports enthusiasts around the city, significant funds were allocated to skateparks in the 2024 bond election. As we have learned with Bachman Lake, a bond election is just the start of our efforts. It takes passion to keep these projects moving through the city, and it takes private fundraising to enhance the projects to the level we are hoping to achieve.

  • $1 Million for Oak Cliff Skatepark at Westmoreland

  • $1 Million upgrade to St. Francis Skatepark at Lakeland Hills in East Dallas

  • $500K for another skatepark around the city
